Gleason, Dx. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Absent: Mr. Barnes. <br /> <br /> Dr. Joseph Mooney, ~School Board member, requested-an additional <br />$77,000 to complete the interior project at Charlottesville High <br />School, and added that he understood that all future requests would <br />be included in the capital improvement budget for the City. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Dunbar of the City School administration, summarized <br /> <br />the interior project which included the following: 1) improvements <br />in the commons area, 2) improvements in the. visitor's entrance, 3) <br />larger., improved entrance on the north side, 4) installation of <br />windows in interior doors to increase safety, and S) increase durability <br />of some of the walls. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the $46,000 would come from the funds <br /> <br />left from the auditorium project and $31,000 from the General Fund <br />which had previously been appropriated. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck re-emphasized that all future school requests for <br /> <br /> capital improvements would follow the capital improvement procedure <br /> <br /> for the 'City. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Dr. Hall, Council unani- <br />mously authorized use of $77,000 for the completion of interior <br />improvements at Charlottesville High School. <br /> <br /> Dr. Pete Eberhart, Assistant Superintendent~ for City Schools, <br /> stated that the auditorium dedication was planned for May 9th. <br /> <br /> <br />
