Ramps should be 4'6" in <br />width with a 1" in 12" slope. Ramp~surfaces should be made <br />of a non-skid material. Handrails should be on one or both <br />sides of the ramp, 32" high and extend one foot at the top <br />and bottom of the ramp. <br /> <br />Parking <br /> <br />Spaces reserved for the handicapped should be 12" wide or open <br />on one side~ The parking space should be relatively level <br />with a grade not exceeding four percent, Curb cuns should <br />be provided from the parking space to the nearest sidewalk. <br />At least one (1) parking space should be provided in all <br />parking areas. E. Sims, <br /> Superintendent, Southern Railway System. <br /> <br /> The City Manager advised the Council that the Airport Board <br />had realized for sometime that the terminal building at the <br />Airport is much too small. He stated that construction of a new <br />terminal is at least five years in the future, but their <br />immediate problem in terms of having sufficient space for the <br />public and looking for ways to try to solve this problem one <br />of the methods would be a lease arrangement whereby the board could <br /> <br /> <br />
