168

A work session was set for December 6th to discuss this
matter.

Fir. Gatewood proposed that the Council begin procedures
for changing the date of School Board appointments to July,
which would require a 'charter change, and suggested that the
public hearing be held at the regular meeting on December 3,
1979.

Mrs, 0'Brien suggested that this be discussed with the
School Board, since it is her understanding that State law
requires that the School Board hold its organization meeting
on the first of July,
The Mayor suggested that this could be discussed with the
School Board at the lunch meeting on November 15th.

On motion the meeting adjourned.

President

Regular Meeting

Executive Session

Matters by the Public

COUNCIL CHAMBER - MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 1979

The Council met in regular session on this date with the
following members present: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck
and Mrs. O'Brien. He stated that this plan will require
legal guidance as it is developed for Council's consideration,
and he requested the Council to provide funds for legal fees
for the project in the amount of $2,500.

Mrs. O'Brien suggested that before an attorney starts
work on this project that he confer with the City Attorney to
determine if any work has been done which could be used, since
the Housing Authority incurred some expenses in investigating
a similar project. She stated she would like that done before
any commitment of funds is made.
