<br /> RESOLVEDi~by the Council of the City of Charlottesville,
<br />Virginia, that the sum of $25,000 is hereby appropriated from
<br />the Grants Fund to expenditure account 11-12190 for Outreach
<br />~ounseling Services, Inc., to provide counseling services to aid
<br />in the prevention, treatment and control of juvenile delinquency.
<br />Such appmopriations ~shall be subject to the receipt by the City
<br />of Char%~tteaville of $25,000 from the Virginia Devision of
<br />Justice and Crime Prevention.

<br /> On motion hy Mr. Conover, seconded by Dr. Hall, the following
<br />appropriation was. offered and carried o~er to the next meeting
<br />~or consideration:
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS this Council has previously approved the City's
<br />application for a gr. ant for innovative housing programs from the
<br />U~ted States DePar'tment 6f Housing and Urban Development; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS such. grant application has recently been approved in
<br />the amount of. $30~,000 and it is the intent of council
<br /> to appropriate
<br />such amount for the various activities comprising such grant
<br />application; now, therefore, be it
<br />
<br /> RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville,
<br />Virginia, that the following sums are hereby appropriated from
<br />federal funds to he received in a fund designated as the HUD
<br />Innovative Housing Grant Fund to the expenditure accounts and
<br />for the purposes hereinafter set forth:

<br /> Provided that all or part of the amount so appropriated as
<br />a~contingency account may be transferred by authorization from
<br />t e City Manager to any of the other aforesaid accounts to
<br />cover unanticipated expenses incurred for any lawful purpose
<br />in accordance with the federal regulations governing such grant.

<br />On motion by Ms. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Albro, the following
<br />
<br />appropriation was offered and carried over to the next meeting for
<br />
<br />consideration:

<br /> WHEREAS, On June '2, 1980, this Council approved an appro-
<br />pmiatiOn in the sum of $2,500 for use by the Charlottesville-
<br />Al~bemarle Clean Community Commission (CAC3) in recycling and
<br />liltter control projects; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS the City has now been advised by the Virginia Division
<br />of Litter Control that it is eligible to receive an additional
<br />sum of $1,000 for the funding of such projects during the calendar
<br />year of 1980~ now, therefore, be it
<br />
<br /> RESOLVED hy the Cguncil of the City.of Charlottesville,
<br />Virginia, that the. additional sum of $1,000 is hereby appropriated

<br />Mr. Roger Wiley, City Attorney, asked Council to Consider
<br />
<br />a resolution to appoint viewers to consider the vacation of an
<br />
<br />alleY near Edgehill Road. On motion by Mr. Albro, seconded by
<br />
<br />Mr. Conover, Council unanimously adopted the following resolution:
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS this 'Council has received a petition requesting
<br />vacation of an alley .running southwesterly from Edgehill Road
<br />an~ adjoining Parcel' t9.1 On the 'City Tax Map, Section 45; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS 'it appears to Council that the notices required by
<br />SeCtion 15~17-364 o~ the Code Of .Virginia (1950), as amended,
<br />hay heen duly posted; now, therefore, be it
