3ZZ Ordinance re: Amending District Map byrezoning property on 2nd St., NE Ordinance re: Amending District Map by rezoning parcel located at Hydraulic Road & Michie Drive Ordinance re: Closing portion of alley south of Edgehill Road Other business Appropriation re: $18,875.46 Juvenile Court EXecutive session On motion by Mr. Conover, seconded by Ms. Gleason, an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING THE DISTRICT MAP INCORPORATED IN SECTION 31~4 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, BY THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ALONG SECOND STREET, NE, IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE" was offered and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. On motion hy Mr. Conover, seconded by Dr. Hall, Council denied an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING THE DISTRICT MAP INCORPORATED IN SECTION 31-4 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, BY THE REZONING OF A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF HYDRAULIC ROAD AND MICHIE DRIVE IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE" hy the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. Buck, Mr. Conover, Ms. Gleaaon, Dr, Hall, Noes: None. On motion hy Mr. Alb~o, seconded by Ms. Gleason, an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY SOUTH OF EDGEHILL ROAD" was offeredaand carried over to the next meeting for consideration. Mayor Buck announced the following meetings of CoUncil. On September 15, a public hearing on taxi fares andpossibly a public hearing on the Hydraulic Road design, On September 17, a worksession with the Social Development Commission at 7:30 and at 8:30 a workseasion with the University Neighborhood Study Tax Force. Mr. Hendrix informed Council members that a new cost estimate of $141,750.92 for the Juvenile Court has been set due to the fact that all the bids came in higher than the budgeted amount. He requested an additional appropriation of $18,875.46 for these building improvements. On motiOn by Mr. Albro, seconded by Ms. Gleaaon~ this appropriation request was offered and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. On motion by Mr.. Albro, seconded by Ms. Gleason, Council unanimously agreed to meet in executive session following the regular meeting on matters exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1)(Personnel) and (2)(Property) or,the ~irginia Freedom of Information Act and to meet in executive session on.Wednesday, August 20, to discuss matters exempted hy Section 2,1~344(a)(2)(P=ope=.ty) and (6)(Legal) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act.
