<br />C. There is hereby appropriated from the Emergency Services
<br />Fund, for the operation of'the Emergency Services Program
<br />during such. fiscal year, the Sum' of $21',762, or the amount of
<br />revenue actually received by. such fund, whichever shall be the
<br />lesser amount,
<br /> D, There is hereby appropriated from the Community Attention
<br /> Fund, for the operation of the Community Attention Homes and
<br /> related programs during such fiscal year, the sum of $612,359
<br /> or the amount of'revenue actUally received by such funds,
<br /> whichever shall be the lesser amount.
<br /> E, There is hereby appropriated from the Landfill Fund, for
<br /> the oparation of khe sanitary landfill during such fiscal
<br /> year the sum'of $496,616, or the amount of revenue actually
<br /> received by such fund, whichever shall be the lesser amount.

<br /> Fund, for the operat~0n ~f the Department of Data Processing
<br /> during such ~isCal year, the sum of $232,468, or the amount
<br /> Qft~e~nu~a¢B~ally credited to such fund from other City
<br /> departments, whiehever shall be the lesser amount.

<br /> H. There is hereby appropriated from the Warehouse FUnd,
<br /> for the operation of.the warehouse during such fiscal year,
<br /> the sum of $98,7I'5', or the amount of revenue actually credited
<br /> to such fund from other City departments,'whichever shall be
<br /> the lesser amount.
<br />
<br />I. There is hereby appropriated from the Fleet Maintenance
<br />Fund, for th~operation of the Central Ga~g~-~during such
<br />fiscal year, t~e sum of $235,249, or the amount of revenue
<br />actually credited to such fund from .other City -departments
<br />whichever shall be the greater amount.

<br /> Each such special agency fund appropriation shall be effective
<br />July 1, 1981. The' balance of any General Fund contribution to
<br />such funds not expended or encumbered as of June 30-, 1982, shall
<br />be deemed to revert to the unappropriated balance of the General
<br />Fund, unless the Council by resolution provides that any such
<br />sum shall be deemed~a continuing appropriation.

<br />The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH THE ANNUAL
<br />
<br />TAX LEVY ON VARIOUS CLASSES OF PROPERTY FOR THE PAYMENT OF
<br />INTEREST AND RETIREMENT OF THE CITY DEBT, FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE
<br />CITY GOVERNMENT AND CITY SCHOOLS, AND FOR OTHER PUBLIC PURPOSES"
<br />which was offered for consideration at the meeting of March 31
<br />
<br />was adopted by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Mr. Conover,
<br />Ms. Gleason, Dr. Hall. No: Mr. Albro.
<br />
<br /> Ms. Kathleen Leason, director of the Charlottesville Housing
<br />Improvement Program, reported to Council that C.H.I.P. had recently
<br />lost 10 participants and 2 crew leaders due to the CETA cutbacks.
<br />She said she was working on plans to re-design the program to
<br />accommodate the loss of CETA funds and exploring other resources
<br />
<br />for volunteers and other program supports. She promised a
<br />
<br />future report after the C,H.I.P. board meets and the new program
<br />
<br />changes are decided.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Cole Hendrix, City Manager~ reported that McGuffey Art
<br />
<br />Center is requesting a ~'renewal of its five year. lease, the
<br />present lease expiring in August, 1981. Mr. Roger Wiley, City
<br />Attorney, said that the general approval of Council is needed
<br />now and that later in the summer the Council would be asked to
<br />
<br />authorize the Mayor to sign the actual lease agreement.
<br />
<br /> On motion by Mr. Conover, seconded by Mr. Albro, Council
<br />voted unanimous approval of the renewal of the fiveyear lease
<br />
<br />with McGuffey Art Center.
