Mr. Chick Moran, Albemarle County Historical Society in favor of extending Historical Preservation District. Mr. Paul Fishbane showed slides' of the properties included in the proposed extension of the Historic District along Park Street. On motion the meeting adjourned. erk ~ ~ President Regular meeting Minutes Approved Public Hearing: Side- walk Master Plan Announcement re: Mayor - Resignation Redevelopment & H6hsing Authority Bd. Appointment: ~?re: Advisory Board on Informanion & Referral COUNCIL CHAMBER - MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 1975 The Council met in regular session on this date with the following members present: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gilliam, Mrs. Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. Absent: None. The minutes of the meetings of October 20 and 21, 1975 were approved as presented. A public hearing was held on this date on the proposed Sidewalk MaSter Plan. The City Manager briefly outlined the proposed Sidewalk Plan. He stated that a public hearing has been held on the Sidewalk Plan by the Planning Commission, which has passed it on to City Council. He stated tha6 there are 123.7 miles of streets in the City, 108.1 miles of sidewalks and 40.6 miles of streets with no sidewalks on either side. He stated that they recommended policy in the plan for financing, proposed that the City pay the entire cost of neighborhood and community sidewalks oun of General Revenues and Community Development Act Revenues and all other sidewalks be paid for by the adjacent property owner. Mrs. Julia Crampton addressed the Council in support-of the plan, but stated that the Barracks Road sidewalk was desperately needed and requested that the priority on the sidewalk for Dairy Road be moved up. Mrs. Constance Easton also addressed the Council in support of the Barracks Road sidewalk. A motion by Mr.~.Van Yahres, seconded by Mrs. Rinehart that the plan be accepted without priorities, was unanimously adopted. The Mayor announced theresignation of Mrs. Mary Alice Jones, from the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority. On motion by Mrs.Rinehart, Mrs. Helen Poore, was appointed to the Advisory Board on Information and Referral.
