ppropriation re: <br /> 30,000 - Redesign <br />AccoUnt±ng'Sys~.em <br /> <br />Request re: Appropriation <br />$70,211 - Bus Service <br /> <br /> The resolution appropriating $30,000 for the redesign <br />of the City's accounting system, which was offered at the <br />meeting of the Council on January 5, 1976, ~was adopted by <br />the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Fife, <br />Mr. Gilliam, Mrs. Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. Noes: None. <br /> A report was presented from Mr. E. C.Wm~e, Transit <br />Manager stating that the operating expenses of the Transit <br />Service continued to exceed expenses since the City has <br />been forced to continue operating the used equipment. The <br />report stated that an additional appropriation of $70,211 <br />is needed to fund the operation through June 30, 1976. On <br /> <br />motion by..Mrs. ~Rinehart, seconded by Mr. Gilliam the <br />following resolution was offered and carried over to the next <br /> <br />meeting for ~consideration. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that $70,211 be and the same is hereby <br />appropriated from the General Fund for operation of the <br />Transit Service through June 30, 1976. <br /> <br />Mr. Gilliam stated that he seconded the resolution with the <br /> <br />request that the figure be revised downward by the next <br />meeting, since the new buses are expected in the next two <br /> <br />or three months. <br /> <br />~equest re: Appropriation <br />$15,482 - Fire Department <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Van Yahres, seconded by Mr. Gilliam <br />the following resolution was offered and carried over to <br /> <br />the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />Request re: <br />Appropriation - $8,200 <br />Human Resources <br />Assembly <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that $15,482 be and the same is hereby <br />appropriated for. the Fire Department for additional personnel <br />expenses which Albemarle County has agreed to fund. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. Rinehart, seconded by Mr. Van Yahres <br /> <br />the following resolution was offered and carried over to the <br /> <br />next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that $8200 be and the same is hereby <br />appropriated from Community Development Revenue Sharing <br />Funds for the Human Resources Assembly. <br /> <br />Ordinance re: <br />Changing Voting Place <br />in Johnson & Lane <br />Precincts <br /> <br /> An. ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND.AND <br />REORDAIN SECTION 1-13 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1965, AS AMENDED RELATING TO ELECTION <br /> <br />DISTRICTS AND VOTING PLACES IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A CHANGE <br /> <br />IN THE VOTING PLACE OF THE JOHNSON PRECINCT," which was <br />offered at the meeting of the Council on January 5, 1976, <br />was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. <br /> <br />Barbour, Mr. Fife, Mr.. Gilliam, Mrs. Rinehart and Mr. <br /> <br />Van Yahres. Noes: None. <br /> <br />Considmration re: <br />Ordinance - establishing <br />45MPH Speed limit <br />on 5th Street <br /> <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND <br />REORDAIN SECTION 18-33 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY 0~ <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1965, RELATING TO MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM <br /> <br />SPEED LIMITS, ETC.," was offered by Mr. Gilliam, seconded <br /> <br />by Mr. Fife and carried over to the next meeting for <br /> <br />consideration. <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Ordinance Closing <br />and vacating a portion <br />of Hedge Street <br /> <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING <br />AND DISCONTINUING UNIMPROVED HEDGE STREET LYING BETWEEN <br />2ND STREET, N.
