Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gilliam, Mrs. <br />Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. Noes: None. <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE <br /> <br /> OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1965, AS AMENDED, BY <br /> ADDING IN ARTICLE XV OF CHAPTER 2 THEREOF, NEW SECTIONS <br /> NUMBERED 2-192.1, 2-195.1 AND 2-197.1; AND BY AMENDING <br /> AND REORDAINING SECTIONS 2-193, 2-194 AND 2-198 THEREOF; <br /> AND BY REPEALING SECTIONS 2-192, 2-19.5, 2-196, 2-197 AND <br /> 2-199 THEREOF; THE ADDED, AMENDED AND REPEALED SECTIONS <br /> GENERALLY TO THE ORGANIZATION, POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE <br /> RETIREMENT PLAN COMMISSION,? which was offered at the <br /> meeting of the Council on January 20, 1976, was adopted by <br /> the following recorded vote. Noes: None. <br /> An ordinance entitled"AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING <br /> <br /> AND DISCONTINUING TWO ALLEYS IN THE GARRETT STREET RENEWAL <br /> PROJECT KNOWN AS JESSUP'S ALLEY AND CONWAY~.S ALLEY IN THE <br /> CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, "was offered by Mr. Fi~e, seconded <br /> by Mr. Gilliam,and carried over to the next meeting for <br /> consideration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Paul Fishbane, of the Downtown Neighborhood <br /> Association, addressed the Council and asked for their <br /> support of a public hearing to be held by the State Water <br /> Control Board on Schenks Branch. A motion by Mr. Fife, <br /> seconded by Mrs. Rinehart that the State Water Control Board <br /> be notified of the Council's support of the public hearing, <br /> was unanimously adopted. <br /> Mr. Peter Daly a resident of 17th Street, N. W., presented <br /> a petition to Council requesting that no Permit Parking <br /> be put in the 17th Street Area. <br /> On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mrs. Rinehart the <br /> Council voted to go into executive session to discuss <br /> personnel, by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. <br /> Barbour, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gilliam, Mrs. Rinehart and <br /> <br />Mr. Van Yahres.
