Authorization re: Contract <br />with Hannzmon, Wiebel & Co. <br />for annual audit <br /> <br />Authorize Mayor to <br />sign Sanitary Sewer <br />Easement <br /> <br />Authorize~Mayor to <br />sign an easement for <br />VEPCO over a portion <br />of the Ivy Landfill <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Ordinance - Air~.rights <br />over Park Place <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Ordinance Adopting <br />New City Code <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Ordinance - Closing <br />vacating & discontinuing <br />deadend alley between <br />Harris Street and <br />Southern Railroad <br /> <br />119' <br /> <br /> ~.~ ~WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville is <br />desir°u's~0f~addressing the critical human service issue <br />of Foster Care in cooperation with other political <br />jurisdictions in Planning District X. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />the City of Charlottesville, Virginia <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />That the City Manager is authorized to <br />execute and file an application on behalf <br />of the City of Charlottesville with the <br />Division of State Planning and Cou-uunity <br />Affairs, Office of Human Resources, to <br />aid in the financing of a Regional Foster <br />Care Agency. <br /> <br />That the City Manager is authorized to <br />furnish such additional information as the <br />Division of State Planning and Community <br />Aff~±rs may require in connection with the <br />application or the project. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Gilliam, seconded by Mr. Van Yahres <br /> <br />the Mayor was authorized to execute contract with <br /> <br />Hantzmon, Wiebel and Company for the annual audit. <br /> <br /> On mO~ion by Mr. Gilliam,seconded by Mr. Fife the <br />Mayor was authorizedto execute a sanitary sewer easement <br />to Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority across land owned by <br /> <br />the City on Westerly Avenue. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Gilliam the <br />Mayor was authorized to execute on behalf of the City a <br />power line easement to VEPCO across a portion of the Ivy <br />Landfill Property. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Clerk <br />of the Corporation be and they are hereby authorized to <br />execute a certain agreement of easement to bear date as of <br />May 12, 1976, conveying to the Virginia Electric and <br />Power Company, a corporation organized and existing under <br />the laws of the State of Virginia, a right of way across <br />the property of the City of Charlottesville, as shown <br />by plat bearing number CH-57-76 exhibited to the City <br />Council, same to be signed by the Mayor on behalf of <br />the City of Charlottesville and attested and seal affixed <br />by the Clerk. <br /> <br />An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE <br /> <br />CONVEYANCE OF A PEPETUAL EASEMENT FOR AIR RIGHTS TO THE <br /> <br />UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA OVER A PORTION OF PARK PLACE," <br />was offered by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Gilliam and <br /> <br />carried over to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A <br /> <br />REVISION AND CODIFICATION OF THE ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br /> <br />OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA, ENTITLED "THE CODE OF THE <br /> <br />CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA OF 1976," PROVIDING <br /> <br />FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES NOT INCLUDED THEREIN, <br /> <br />WITH CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES HEREINAFTER <br /> <br />SET OUT," was offered by Mr. Gilliam, seconded by Mrs. <br />Rinehart and carried over to the next meeting for <br />consideration. <br /> <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING <br />AND DISCONTINUING A PORTION OF THAT DEADEND ALLEY LYING <br /> <br />BETWEEN HARRIS STREET AND THE SOUTHERN RAILROAD," was <br />offered by Mrs. Rinehart, seconded by Mr. Fife and carried <br /> <br />over to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br /> <br />
