NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia (1) (2) That the City Manager is authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the City of Charlottesville with the Division of State Planning and Cou-uunity Affairs, Office of Human Resources, to aid in the financing of a Regional Foster Care Agency. That the City Manager is authorized to furnish such additional information as the Division of State Planning and Community Aff~±rs may require in connection with the application or the project. On motion by Mr. Gilliam, seconded by Mr. Van Yahres the Mayor was authorized to execute contract with Hantzmon, Wiebel and Company for the annual audit. On mO~ion by Mr. Gilliam,seconded by Mr. Fife the Mayor was authorizedto execute a sanitary sewer easement to Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority across land owned by the City on Westerly Avenue. On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Gilliam the Mayor was authorized to execute on behalf of the City a power line easement to VEPCO across a portion of the Ivy Landfill Property. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Clerk of the Corporation be and they are hereby authorized to execute a certain agreement of easement to bear date as of May 12, 1976, conveying to the Virginia Electric and Power Company, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Virginia, a right of way across the property of the City of Charlottesville, as shown by plat bearing number CH-57-76 exhibited to the City Council, same to be signed by the Mayor on behalf of the City of Charlottesville and attested and seal affixed by the Clerk. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PEPETUAL EASEMENT FOR AIR RIGHTS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA OVER A PORTION OF PARK PLACE," was offered by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Gilliam and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A REVISION AND CODIFICATION OF THE ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA, ENTITLED "THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA OF 1976," PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES NOT INCLUDED THEREIN, WITH CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES HEREINAFTER SET OUT," was offered by Mr. Gilliam, seconded by Mrs. Rinehart and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING A PORTION OF THAT DEADEND ALLEY LYING BETWEEN HARRIS STREET AND THE SOUTHERN RAILROAD," was offered by Mrs. Rinehart, seconded by Mr. Fife and carried over to the next meeting for consideration.
