Resolution re: <br />Social Development <br />Commission <br /> <br />129 <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council <br />of the City of Charlottesville that the Council approves <br />the abatement of taxes and penalty in the amount of <br />$63,939.26 as certified on such list, authorized the <br />Treasurer to be credited with such sum:~ <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Gilliam the <br /> <br />following resolution was unanimously adopted, as amended. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council on March 14, 1974 adopted <br />a resolution expressing the policy of the Council with <br />regard to membership of the Social Development Commission; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such resolution provided that three <br />members of the City Planning Commission would be appointed <br />to serve on the Social Development Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it now appears to this Council that a <br />liaison between the Social Development Commission and the <br />City Planning Commission can effectively be accomplished <br />by appointing only two persons of the City Planning <br />Commission to serve on the SOcial Development <br />Commission; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council <br />of the City of Charlottesville that the resolution <br />relating to the Social Development Commission adopted by <br />this Co~n=il on March 14, 1974 is hereby amended in the <br />following rempects~ <br /> <br />(a) The Council will appoint two members of the <br />City Planning Commission to serve on the <br />Social Development Commission. <br /> <br />(b) The Council will appoint one person who <br />resides in the City to be a member of the <br />Social Development Commission from the community <br />at large. <br /> <br />On motion the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />~cting Clerk <br /> <br /> COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />Pursuant to the following call: <br /> <br />THRUSDAY, JULY 1, 1976 <br /> <br />Mr. Charles L.
