Gilliam <br />outgoing member <br />of Council <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, you have served on City Council from July 1, <br />1972 to June 30, 1976, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the people of this City are profoundly <br />grateful to you. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, we your fellow Councillors speaking <br />for and on behalf of the citizens of Charlottesville, do <br />hereby express to you our sincere gratitude for your devotion, <br />your understanding attention and your unending willingness <br />to give of yourself sacrificially for the betterment of the <br />people of our City. <br /> <br /> Done at Charlottesville in the Commonwealth of <br />Virginia, this the 28th day of June, 1976. <br /> <br />Resolution: <br />Jill T. Mr. Banks requested that the <br /> <br />Council appropriate $10,000 to help with facilities and <br /> <br />equipment for the program. After a lenghty discussion, <br /> <br />a motion by Mr. Brunton, seconded by Mr. Fife that this <br /> <br />matter be referred to the <br />was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Jane Saunier, of <br />District Commission, addre~ <br />explained the Northwestern <br />requested Council to appoi~ <br />Sub-Area Council. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barb( <br />reappointed to the Charlo! <br />ment ~u'thority Board for a <br />10, 1980, by unanimous vot~ <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Fife <br />appointed to the School Bo~ <br />expiring June 30, 1979, by <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barb~ <br /> <br />:ity Manager for further study, <br /> <br />the Thomas Jefferson Planning <br />~sed the Council and briefly <br />Virginia Health System and <br /> <br />Lt one of its members to the <br /> <br />,ur, Mrs. Jean Peterson, was <br />~tesville Housing and Redevelop- <br />four year term, expiring August <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gary K.
