' 144 <br /> <br />Presentation re: <br />Jaycees <br /> <br />Resolution re: <br />Heritage Repertory <br />Company <br /> <br />budgeted for street lights in the budget and petitions <br />are considered by Council and they would be coming up <br />again in September. <br /> <br /> Mr. Younger also questioned the high barrier at the <br />corner of Lankford Avenue and Ridge Street and stated how <br />Rmngerous this intersection was. Mr. Hendrix stated that he <br />was awar~ of the problem and that i~ is possible that this <br />problem could be taken care of with Community Development <br />Revenue Sharing money. He also stated that the task force <br />would be meeting again in September to consider new projects. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roger Peraldo, of the Charlottesville-Albemarle <br />Jaycees addressed the Council and thanked them for their <br />participation in the "Town Meeting '76" which was held <br />on July 31, 1976 at Piedmont Virginia Community College. <br />Mr. Peraldo also presente'd the Proposals and Objections <br />that came out of the meeting. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Barbour the <br />following resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Heritage Repertory Company, which <br /> is performing five notable American Plays this summer, <br /> is making an outstanding contribution to the cultural life <br /> of this community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the combined efforts of the professional <br /> and amateur members of the company are producing high quality <br /> theatre entertainment, again this season; now, therefore be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of <br /> Charlottesville, that Ch~n~t~cQmgratulate the Heritage <br /> Repertory Company on its successful season and commend <br /> its performances to both citizens of Charlottesville and <br /> out-of-town visitors to the area. <br /> <br /> On motion the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />' A~ing Clerk <br /> <br />(OMITTED FROM THE _~[NUTES OF JULY 19, 1976) <br /> <br />Ordinance re: <br />Sanitary Sewer <br />Moratorium <br /> <br /> An ordinanceentitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976 BY ADDING <br /> <br />A SECTION 24-1.1 TO IMPOSE A MORATORIUM ON SANITARY SEWER <br />CONNECTIONS IN THE MOORE'S CREEK DRAINAGE BASIN," which <br />was offered at the meeting of the Council on July 12, 1976, <br />was adopted as amended by the following recOrded vote. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and <br />Mrs. O'Brien.
