2.54 Special meeting Regular meeting Request re: Commonwealth Attorney - Massage Parlors Appropriation re: $1,943 - Juvenile Court Appropriation re: $5,990 - Airport Fire Crash Truck Appropriation re: $28,100 - Greenbrier Bus Route SEPTEMBER 16, 1976 The Council met in special session on this date with the following members present: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Absent: None. On motion by Mr. Brunton, seconded by Mr. Fife by unanimous consent the Council voted to go into executive session to discuss litigation, by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. On motion the meeting adjourned. esident~ COUNCIL CHAMBER - MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 1976 The Council met in regular session on this date with the following members present: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Absent: None. The minutes of the meeting of September 7, 1976 weme~ approved as corrected. Mr. Richard Barrick, Commonwealth's Attorney addressed the Council and requested that consideration be given to adopting an ordinance regulating th~-operation of massage parlors. He stated that he was requesting consideration of such an ordinance because of health problems. Mr. Barrick also requested that the Mayor appoint a study committee to look into the matter to conclude whether Charlottesville needs a regulatory ordinance. A motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Brunton that the Mayor appoint a study committee to consider such an ordinance, was unanimously adopted. The Mayor appointed Mr. Gatewood, Mr. Barbour and Mr. Wiley to this committee. The resolution appropriating $1,943 for moving expenses and rent for the Juvenile Court, which was offered at the meeting of the Council on September 7, 1976 was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, _Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. The resolution appropriating $5,990 for the City's share of the Fire Crash Truck at the Airport, which was offered at the meeting of the Council on September 7, 1976 was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. The resolution appropriating $28,100 for operation of bus service to Greenbrier, which was offered at the meeting of the Council on September 7, 1976, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None.
