Absent: None. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Brunton, seconded by Mr. Fife by unanimous <br />consent the Council voted to go into executive session to discuss <br />litigation, by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, <br />Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />On motion the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />esident~ <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER - MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 1976 <br /> <br /> The Council met in regular session on this date with the <br />following members present: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr, Fife, <br />Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Absent: None. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the meeting of September 7, 1976 were~. <br />approved as corrected. <br /> <br /> Mr. Richard Barrick, Commonwealth's Attorney addressed the <br />Council and requested that consideration be given to adopting <br />an ordinance regulating th~. operation of massage parlors. He <br />stated that he was requesting consideration of such an <br />ordinance because of health problems. Mr. Barrick also requested <br />that the Mayor appoint a study committee to look into the <br />matter to conclude whether Charlottesville needs a regulatory <br />ordinance. A motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Brunton that <br />the Mayor appoint a study committee to consider such an ordinance, <br />was unanimously adopted. The Mayor appointed Mr. Gatewood, Mr. <br />Barbour and Mr. Wiley to this committee. <br /> <br /> The resolution appropriating $1,943 for moving expenses and <br />rent for the Juvenile Court, which was offered at the meeting of <br />the Council on September 7, 1976 was adopted by the following <br />recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. <br />Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> The resolution appropriating $5,990 for the City's share <br /> <br />of the Fire Crash Truck at the Airport, which was offered at <br />the meeting of the Council on September 7, 1976 was adopted by <br />the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, <br />Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> The resolution appropriating $28,100 for operation of <br /> <br /> bus service to .Greenbrier, which was offered at the meeting of <br /> the Council on September 7, 1976, was adopted by the following <br /> recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. <br /> Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> <br />
