160 <br /> <br />Appropriation re: <br />$1,733 - Street Lights <br /> <br /> The resolution appropr{ating $1,733 for street light <br />installation, which was offered at the meeting of the Council on <br /> <br />September 20, 1976, was adopted by the following recorded vote. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mr, Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. <br /> <br />O' Brien. Noes: None. <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Appropriation re: $7,500 <br />Electoral Board <br /> <br /> A communication was presented from the Chairman of the <br />Electoral Boayd.stating. that when the current fiscal year <br /> <br />budget was prapared they were not aware of a primary election <br /> <br />to be held in June of 1977 and did not provide for it in the <br /> <br />budget. The communication stated that $7500 would be needed <br /> <br />to cover the expense of an additional election. On motion by <br /> <br />Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr. Brunton the following resolution <br /> <br />was offered and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that $7,500 be and the same is hereby appropriated <br />from the General Fund for expenses of the Electoral Board. <br /> <br />Consideration re: A communication was presented from S.S. Huja, Director of <br />Appropriation re: <br />$4,000 - Human Resources Community Development recommending that the Human Resources <br />Assembly <br /> Assembly be conducted for the third year. He stated that the <br /> <br />cost of the assembly would be $8500, but that the Social <br /> <br />Development Commission and its Planning Task Force have contacted <br /> <br />other agencies in an attempt to get money from other sources. <br /> <br />He stated that the commission has tentative commitments from <br /> <br />other sources and recommends that the City appropriate $4,000 <br /> <br />for this activity for the coming year. On motion by Mr. Gate- <br /> <br />wood, seconded by Mr. Fife the following resolution was offered <br /> <br />and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that $4,000 be and the same is hereby <br />appropriated from the General Fund for expenses of the Human <br />Resources Assembly. <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Appropriation <br />$11,674.40 - Refund <br />of Personal Property <br />Taxes - Monticello <br />~airy <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Appropriation - $84,230 <br />Family Group Homes <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Brunton, seconded by Mr. Fife the following <br />resolution was offered and carried over to the next meeting <br /> <br />for consideration. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that $11,674.40 be and the same is hereby <br />appropriated from the General Fund for refund of erroneous <br />personal property taxes to Monticello Dairy. <br /> <br />~Mr. Gary Duncan, Director of Community Attsntion Home, <br /> <br />presented a proposed budget for, Four Family Group Homes. He <br /> <br />stated that the budget has already been approved by the <br /> <br />Department of Corrections in Richmond and that reimbursement <br /> <br />to the City is effective October 1, 1976. He also stated that <br /> <br />the budget is entirely supported by State and Federal funds <br /> <br />and requires to City outlay. On motion bv Mr. Barbour, <br />seconded by Mr. Brunton the proposed-family group homes budget <br /> <br />was approved as presented. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr. Brunton the <br /> <br />following resolute.on was offered and carried over to the next <br /> <br />meeting for consideration. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville that $84,230 be and the .same is hereby appropriated <br />from the General Fund for Family Group Homes Budget to be <br />reimbursed by State and Federal Funds. <br /> <br /> <br />
