Consideration re: An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN Ordinance - Registration inspection and operation ARTICLE IV OF CHAPTER 16 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTES- of bicycles VILLE, 1976, BY REPEALING SECTIONS 16-58 THROUGH 16-63 AND Consideration re: Ordinance - Ware Street ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF SECTIONS NUMBERED 16-63.1 THROUGH 16-63.9 RELATING TO THE REGISTRATION, INSPECTION AND OPERATION OF BICYCLES," was offered by Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr. Fife and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 23-6 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, ENTITLED "PLACEMENT OF CONTAINERS AND BUNDLES FOR COLLECTION", was offered by Mr. Brunnon, seconded by Mr. Fife and carried Discussion re: Chamber of Commerce Convention Bureau Contract over to the next meeting for consideration. The City Manager requested permission to discuss the Chamber of Commerce Convention Bureau Contract. He stated that last year the City Council and the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors entered into a contract with the Chamber of Commerce to provide convention and tourism services. He stated the contract was not signed until the latter part of October and was to run for one fiscal year, but since it was signed late the Chamber did not get started on it until about November and the contract was to be finished by June 30, 1976. He stated the contract set out certain programs the Chamber of Commerce would carry out during the year and made the following recommendations for extension of the contract: 1. The contract be extended to December 31, 1976 to give the Chamber'additional time to complete current commitmenns; 2. The Chamber estimates $2,000 will be left at the end of December, request that money be returned immediately and any other funds left over be returned at December 31, 1976; 3. Require complete audit at December 31 of what has been spent and what achieved; 4. After a review of the audit, Council consider entering into a six months contract to June 30, 1977;i 5. Some of the matching funds in the 1974-75 fiscal year have not been spent, Council may want to
