Mr. Huja .gave a background report on the site plan and <br /> special permit and presented the plan~for inspection. Mr. Gatewood <br /> questioned the number of parking spaces and inquired if more parking <br /> spaces could be required of the developer. He also asked the developer <br /> if more parking spaces could be provided on the property. Action on <br /> this request was deferred until August 29, 1977 so that more <br /> information can be furnished concerning the parking. <br /> <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 30 OF THE <br /> CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, BY REPEALING <br /> SECTION 30-8 AND ENACTED IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION NUMBERED <br /> 30-8.1 IN ORDER TO RECONSTITUTE THE WELFARE ADVISORY BOARD AS <br /> A SOCIAL SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD AS REQUIRED BY STATE LAW," was <br /> offered by Mr. Barbour, seconded by Mr. Gatewood and carried over <br /> to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Peggy King addressed the Council and requested that the City <br /> Council and Planning Commission consider adopting a resolution which <br /> would limit the density of development along Jefferson Park Avenue <br /> between Emmet Street and Fry Springs Corner. This request was <br /> referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br /> The City'Manager advised the Council that the OIC funding has <br /> been reduced, but they hope to secure five positions from the Public <br /> Service Jobs, but in order to do this funds are needed to pay these <br /> people until reimbursement is received. On motion by Mr. Barbour, <br /> seconded by Mr. Fife a loan of $1,730 was authorized to OIC. <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION <br /> 30-16 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, <br /> RELATING TO THE COMMUNITY ATTENTION HOME ADVISORY BOARD," which <br /> was offered at the meeting of the Council on August 1, 1977, was <br /> adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. <br /> Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. <br /> A motion by Mr. Brunton, seconded by Mr. Gatewood that Council <br /> meet in executive session to discuss a matter exempted by Section <br /> 2.1-344(a)(1) and Section 2.1-344(a)(2) of the Virginia Freedom of <br /> Information Act was adopted by the following recorded vote.
