<br /> The resolution prepared by the staff was offered by Mr. Gate-
<br /> wood, seconded by Mr. Barbour. The amended resolution was
<br /> offered was offered by Mr. Fife., seconded by Mrs. O'Brien.
<br /> After a lengthy discussion a substitute motion by Mr. Barbour,
<br /> seconded by Mr. Fife that action be deferred until February 6th
<br /> was adopted by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr.
<br /> Brunton, Mr. Fife and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: Mr. Gatewood. The
<br /> Mayor announced that the policy statement would be discussed at
<br /> the work session on January 23, 1978.

<br /> OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE,1976, BY ADDING AN

<br /> THE CHARLOTTESVILLE DEVELOPMENT GROUP," was offered by Mr.
<br /> Brunton, seconded by Mr. Fife and carried over to the next meeting
<br /> for consideration.

<br /> Police Department Records, which was offered at the meeting of the
<br /> Council on Dec. ember 19, 1977, was adopted by the following
<br /> recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife,
<br /> Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None.
