Atto's <br />Office included <br />in City Pension <br />Plan <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Ordinance re: <br />Community Attention <br />Home <br /> <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ARTICLE VI <br />OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, <br />AS AMENDED, BY ADDING A SECTION NUMBERED 2-63.1 TO AUTHORIZE <br />THE CITY TREASURER TO COLLECT A SERVICE CHARGE ON BAD CHECKS," <br />which was offered at the meeting of the Council on March 20, <br />1978, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. <br />Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. <br />Noes: None. <br /> <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />SECTION 20-19 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, <br />AS AMENDED, RELATING TO DEFINITIONS," which was offered at the <br />meeting of the Council on MarCh 20, 1978, was adopted by <br />the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, <br />Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />SECTION 30-15 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br />1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE COMMUNITY ATTENTION HOME," <br />was offered by Mr. Brunton, seconded by Mr. Barbour and carried <br />over to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />Matters by the Public: <br />Mr. Lionel Key <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Albro- <br /> <br />Mr. James Hicks <br /> <br />Executive Session <br /> <br /> Mr. Lionel. Key addressed the Council and objected to the <br />request by the School Board for funds to employ an architect <br />and also stated his opposition to permit parking. <br /> <br /> Mr. TOm Albro addressed the Council and endorsed the <br />proposal of the Charlottesville Development Group concerning <br />the expenditure of the Vinegar Hill Funds. <br /> <br /> Mr. James Hicks also endorsed the proposal of the <br />Charlottesville Development Group. <br /> <br /> A motion by Mr. Fife, seconded by Mr. Brunton that the <br />Council meet in executive session to discuss a matter exempted <br />by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the Virginia Freedom of Information <br />Act, was adopted by the following recorded vote.
