William Smith was appointed to the <br /> Jefferson Area Board for Aging. <br /> On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, Mr. Ken Curtis was appointed <br /> to the Housing Board of Adjustments and Appeals, by unanimous <br /> <br />vote. <br /> The City Manager reported that the Traffic Engineering <br />Department has moved to new quarters in the Public Works Complex <br />and stated that the Traffic Engineering Building at East Market <br />and 9th Street is now vacant. He stated that the building is <br />in very poor condition and that renovation would 6ost $23,930. <br />He stated that bids had been received for demolition and the <br />cost would be $2,000. He gave the following options: demolish <br />the building, do the renovation and rent the building, use for <br />recreation programs or use for some other purpose, but recommended <br />that it be demolished. Action on this matter was deferred for <br /> <br />Appropriation re: <br />$29,000 -Fringe <br />Benefits <br /> <br />further information. <br /> The resolution appropriating $29,000 for fringe benefits <br />which was offered at the meeting of the Council on April 17, <br />1978, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. <br />Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr.Fife, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. <br /> <br />Appropriation re: <br />$30,000 <br />Re study <br /> <br /> Noes: None. <br /> The resolution appropriating $30,000 for Transportation <br />Transportation <br /> Restudy which was offered at the meeting of the Council on <br /> April 17, 1978, was adopted by the following recorded vote. <br /> Ayes: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gatewood and <br /> <br />Mrs. O'Brien. <br /> <br /> <br />
