Matters by the Public: William Johnson Request re: Mr. Albro change in Matters by the Public on the Agenda Executive Session CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO LOTTERIES, RAFFLES AND BINGO GAMES," was offered by 'Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Gatewood and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. Mr. William Johnson a trustee of Pilgrim Baptist Church addressed the Council and protested the closing of Albemarle Street. Mr. Albro suggested that the first thirty minutes of Council meetings be set aside for matters by the public if any and if more than thirty minutes is required then Council could decide if they want to extend the time or carry the public matters to the end of the meeting. Mrs. O'Brien stated that she would support this proposal if a time limit is set for each person speaking. A motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro that Council meet in executive session to discuss a matter exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. Space ~eas ~ ulny Hall Facilities .... The Council met in regular session on this date with the following members present: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Absent: None. A motion by Mr. Gatewood, seconded by Mr. Albro that Council meet in executive session to discuss a matter exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, was adop.ted by the following recorded vote.
