WRIGHT~ THE FOREGOING RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />WERE UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br /> <br /> THE COMMITTEE APPOINTED TO STUDY THE REQUEST TO INCLUDE MICHIE TAVERN ON DIRECTIONAL <br />SIGNS IN THE CITY RECOMMENDED THAT THE REQUEST BE DENIED AND THAT MICHIE TAVERN NOT BE <br />PLACED ON THE SIGNS. THE COMMITTEE ALSO RECOMMENDED THAT THE CITY ADOPT A POLICY OF <br />INCLUDING ONLY THOSE ESTABLISHMENTS OF SIGNIFICANT NATIONAL HISTORICAL VALUE WHICH ARE <br />OWNED AND OPERATED BY NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. ON MOTION BY MR. RINEHART, SECONDED BY <br />MR. WRIGHT~ THE FOREGOING RECOMMENDATIONS WERE UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br /> <br /> A COMMUNICATION WAS PRESENTED FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING THE VACATION <br /> <br />OF PART OF A PLAT KNOWN AS LOTS 17~ 18 AND 19 BLOCK 23~ CARLTON ADDITION~ AND PART OF A <br />PLAT OF ~'RIDGECREST~ KNOWN AS BLOCK B. A PUBLIC HEARING WAS SET FOR SEPTEMBER 15~ 1969 AT <br />7:30 P. M. TO CONSIDER THIS RECOMMENDATION. <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS WERE ALSO PRESENTED FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING THAT THE <br />REQUESTS FOR REZONING ON DICE STREET, BETWEEN FOURTH AND FIFTH STREETS~ AND ON HYDRAULIC <br /> <br />ROAD~ BE GRANTEDI A PUBLIC HEARING WAS SET FOR SEPTEMBER 15~ 1969 TO CONSIDER THESE REQUESTS. <br /> <br /> A COMMUNICATION WAS ALSO PRESENTED FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING THAT THE <br />REQUEST FROM THE DEVELOPERS OF OAKRIDGE GARDENS FOR A VARIANCE IN THE NUMBER OF OFF STREET <br />PARKING SPACES BE GRANTED. A MOTION BY MR. VAN YAHRES~ SECONDED BY MR. RINEHART THAT THE <br />DEVELOPERS BE REQUIRED TO FURNISH ONLY 1.15 SPACES PER UNIT WAS ADOPTED BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: AYES: MR. RINEHART, MR.
