FIFE: <br /> <br /> MHD BOWEN HAS PUBLICLY STATED HIS DESIRE TO SEEK RETIREMENT AT AN EARLY DATE, <br />HOWEVER, I DO NOT FEEL THAT THE DATE IS SUFFICIENTLY REMOTE TO PERMIT THE ORDERLY <br />SELECTION OF A SUCCESSOR HAVING THE ABILITY TO MAINTAIN THE STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE <br />ESTABLISHED BY HR. BOWENo ACCORDINGLY~ I ADD TO MY MOTION THE EARNEST REQUEST THAT <br />HR. BOWEN DEFER HIS RETIREMENT FOR A PERIOD OF TIME ADEQUATE TO ENABLE THIS COUNCIL <br />TO SELECT A FULLY QUALIFIED SUCCESSOR. <br /> <br /> I ALSO PLEDGE MY BEST EFFORTS TO MOVE WITH THE UTMOST DISPATCH IN ORDER THAT <br />MR. BOWEN NOT BE UNDULY INCONVENIENCED. IT IS MY HOPE THAT THE MEMBERS OF COUNCIL <br />WILL ALL CONCUR IN THIS EXPRESSION. <br /> <br />MR. DONALD BREWSTER WAS ELECTED ASSESSOR OF REAL ESTATE <br />FOR A TERM OF TWO YEARS BY UNANIMOUS VOTE. <br /> <br /> ON MOT ON BY MR. FIFE~ MR. BOWEN WAS ELECTED AS REPRESENTATIVE TO THE DISTRICT <br />HOME BOARD BY UNANIMOUS VOTE. <br /> <br /> ON MOT ON BY MR. BARBOUR, MR.
