7 <br /> <br /> Responding to a question from Mr. Lynch, Mr. Huja said the traffic has been <br />reviewed by traffic engineering. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lynch suggested rethinking the parking and putting in diagonal parking, but <br />Mr. Huja said it is not consid ered safe to back into traffic. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cox said the height seems very low and consideration might be given to <br />increasing it. <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja said it could be taller at the western end. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cox suggested modifying the language regarding inclusion of affordable <br />housing, and Mr. Huja said a mixture of housing is suggested, but he noted that it has to <br />be financially feasible to develop. <br /> <br /> Mr. Schilling said he would like to see an analysis of what we are giving up for <br />affordable housing, noting that it may not be t he highest and best use of the land, <br />especially in light of the current financial situation. <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja said the average unit price will have to be $200,000 to make it feasible. <br /> <br /> Mr. Cox asked Councilors if they are comfortable with the proposed committee and <br />with authorizing the RFP. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lynch said he would like to hear from the public before we say this is <br />something we want to do. <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja said a public hearing will be required before the property can be sold. <br /> <br /> Mr. Caravati made a motion to move for ward with the RFP and suggested process, <br />adding that he thinks there has been plenty of opportunity to review the RFP and sale of <br />land.
