Carey of Charlottesville, to further the year - end graduation activities of Club members, who are junior and seniors at Charlottesville High School. RESOLUTION i. : Approving Special Permit for Covenant School for After School Program WHEREAS , The Covenant School, owner of the property at 1000 Birdwood Road, has requested an amendment to the special use permit originally granted by City Council on May 20, 1985, to allow operation of an after - school program for elementary school children. Amendments to this special permit were subsequently amended by City Council on November 3, 1986, May 4, 1987, August 14, 1987, and July 6, 1993. This property is further identified as Parcel 7 on City Real Property Tax Map 45, having approximately 500 feet of front age on Route 250, and containing approximately 7.2 acres of land; WHEREAS , following a joint public hearing before this Council and the Planning Commission, duly advertised and held on March 11, 2003, this Council finds that such use will conform to the c riteria applicable to special permits generally under Chapter 34 of the City Code; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that a special use permit is hereby approved and granted to The Covenant School to ope rate an after - school program for elementary school children on property located at 1000 Birdwood Road.
