Mr. David Bowerman, member of the Board of Supervisors, said the base of the
dam could be built to add up to 13 feet.

Mr. Lynch said we may want to build the base for 33 feet which would not be
that much more.

Mr. Frederick said he will provide the cost for a new base for the existing level
and for higher levels.

Mr. Ellis said that the consultants hope to complete their studies by this summer.
He said a decision then needs to be made about which projects to permit, and documents
will need to be prepared. He said if there are other things people want the consultants to
study they need to know now.

Mr. Dorrier said he thinks the whole group is making progress and feels that is the
way to go in the future, and Mr. Lynch agreed with that.

Ms. Thomas said that the public wants to know how the Rivanna Reservoir will
look if it is allowed to atrophy.

Mr. Frederick said that is addressed in the question and answer sheet.

Mr. Lynch said we should look at the demand projections and see if the land use
assumptions and conservation assumptions, which elected officials have the power to
change, would drive the numbers lower. He said he does not see how this would cause
any delay.
Mr. Rooker asked about the impact if the projections are changed, and Mr. Ellis
said he suspects it would set us back several more years.

Mr. Lynch asked specifically how this would set us back, and Mr. Ellis said it
would mean different ranges and different alternatives and different combinations of
alternatives.

Mr. Lynch said he does not see that as a down side.

Mr. Rooker said if the numbers are lowered he does not think we would have to
start all over, and thinks we should take a better look at it.

Mr. Ellis said that the demand studies are designed to look over a 50 year range,
and said the projections do not focus on particular years.

Mr. Boyd said he is not as interested in doing a new demand study. He said he
would favor having additional meetings with the entire group as we refine the process.

Mr. Frederick was asked for a break out of safe yields by each alternative.

Mr. Keno said it is a complex water system and complicated to answer that
question. He said raw water modeling is needed.

Having a smaller group meet with representatives from the regulatory agencies
was discussed, and Mr. Lynch said we may want to talk to the Governor first.

Dr. Brown thanked everyone for their hard work. He said we are asking
questions, not challenging the integrity of the consultants, and are making sure issues are
addressed. He said he thinks a meeting of the whole group is important, but he thinks a
small working group is essential to get things done with a follow-up larger meeting.

Mr. Parker said we need to keep an eye on the deadline to fix the dam.

Mr. Lynch suggested that we meet as a whole group in a month or less.
