Bingler, Jr. <br />500 Hanover Street <br />Charlottesville, Va. <br />June 25, 1960 <br />The City Council <br />Charlottesville, Va. <br />Dear Sirs: <br />Following are several suggestions that I would appreciate an <br />evaluation of their merits by you, and acted upon as you, the <br />elected representatives of the people, deem proper: <br />I suggest the City Council have a survey made pertaining to: <br />1. The number of busines places that will be displaced by <br />the Urban Renewal of Vinegar Hill. <br />2. The combined gross income from these businesses. <br />3. The amount of tax paid to the City by these businesses. <br />4. The results of this survey be made public when completed. <br />At the end of five years after completion of the project another <br />survey be conducted pertaining to: <br />1. The combined gross income from the new business places <br />located in the renewed area of Vinegar Hill. <br />
