5 <br />RESOLUTION <br />k. : Authorizing $50,000 for Charlottesville Redevelopment <br /> and Housing Authority from Affordable Housing Funds <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, at a recent work session of City Council on affordable housing, <br />Council discussed granting funds from the Charlottesville-Albemarle Housing Investment <br />Program (CAHIP) to the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority for <br />CRHA’s Strategic Plan initiative; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED <br />by the City Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $50,000 is hereby paid to the Charlottesville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority from currently appropriated funds in the <br />following account in the capital projects fund: <br /> <br />$50,000 Fund: 425 Project: P-00439 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />l. : Approving Performance Contract for Region Ten <br /> Community Services Board <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />m. : Approving City/Albemarle County Sheriff Mutual Aid <br /> Agreement <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED <br /> by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that <br />this Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to sign the following document, in form <br />approved by the City Attorney: <br /> <br />Mutual Aid Agreement between the City of Charlottesville (“City”) and the <br />Albemarle County Sheriff, for provision of law enforcement support among the <br />Sheriff’s Offices of the City and County. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />n. : Approving Special Use Permit for Reduced Rear Setback <br /> for 513 Dice Street <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , Jane Covington (“Applicant”) has requested an amendment to the <br />special use permit granted by City Council on June 4, 2007, with respect to property <br />identified on City Tax Map 29 as Parcel 63.1 (513 Dice Street), consisting of <br />approximately 0.21 acres (“Subject Property”), to allow a reduction in the rear yard <br />setback from the required 25 feet to 10 feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, at its meeting on June 4, 2007, City Council conditioned approval <br />of the special use permit on the issuance of a Certificate of Appropriateness from the <br />Board of Architectural Review (BAR); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, the BAR at its meeting on June 19, 2007, recommended placement <br />of the new single family dwelling at the rear of the Subject Property, to line up with the <br />northeast corner of the existing historic structure (Shackleford-Bannister House); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, a joint public hearing on this application was held before the City <br />Council and Planning Commission on August 14, 2007, following notice to the public <br />and to adjacent property owners as required by law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, on August 14, 2007, based on the information presented by <br />Neighborhood Development Services staff, as well as by the Applicant and the Board of <br />Architectural Review, the Planning Commission recommended that the application be <br />approved; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, this City Council finds and determines that granting the amendment <br />to the Special Use Permit would be consistent with City Code §34-165, et seq. and the <br />criteria generally applicable to special use permits under Chapter 34 of the City Code; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> <br />
