<br />BE IT RESOLVED
<br /> by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that
<br />this Council hereby authorizes t he City Manager to sign the following document, in form
<br />approved by the City Attorney:
<br />
<br />Local Government Support agreement among the City of Charlottesville (“City”),
<br />the County of Albemarle, and the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority for allocation of
<br />future operational costs of the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority
<br />
<br />PUBLIC

<br /> There were no matters by the public.
<br />
<br />APPOINTMENTS
<br />: BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
<br />
<br /> On motion by Mr. Norris, seconded by Ms. Hamilton, Ms. Eryn Brennan
<br />(history/preservation) and Mr. James Wall (resident of ADC district) were appointed to
<br />four-year terms and Mr. Brian Hogg (historian) was reappointed to a four-year term on
<br />the Board of Architectural Review by the following vote. Ayes: Dr. Brown, Ms.
<br />Hamilton, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Taliaferro. Noes: None. These terms will begin on January
<br />2, 2008 and will expire on January 1, 2012.

<br /> On motion by Mr. Norris, seconded by Ms. Hamilton, Mr. Salvatore Innaimi was
<br />appointed to a three-year term on the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport Commission by
<br />the following vote. Ayes: Dr. Brown, Ms. Hamilton, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Norris, Mr.
<br />Taliaferro. Noes: None. This term will expire on December 1, 2010.

<br /> On motion by Mr. Norris, seconded by Ms. Hamilton, Ms. Janette B. Martin was
<br />appointed to an unexpired term on the Charlottesville-Albemarle Commission on
<br />Children and Families by the following vote. Ayes: Dr. Brown, Ms. Hamilton, Mr.
<br />Lynch, Mr. Norris, Mr. Taliaferro. Noes: None. This term will expire on June 30, 2008.

<br /> On motion by Mr. Norris, seconded by Ms. Hamilton, Ms. Margaret Crawford
<br />was appointed to an unexpired plus two-year term on the Jefferson Area Board for Aging
<br />Advisory Council on Aging by the following vote. Ayes: Dr. Brown, Ms. Hamilton, Mr.
<br />Lynch, Mr. Norris, Mr. Taliaferro. Noes: None. This term will expire on March 31,
<br />2010.

<br /> On motion by Mr. Norris, seconded by Ms. Hamilton, Mr. Kenneth Ballard and
<br />Mr. John Kammauff were reappointed to three-year terms on the Parks and Recreation
<br />Advisory Board by the following vote. Ayes: Dr. Brown, Ms. Hamilton, Mr. Lynch, Mr.
<br />Norris, Mr. Taliaferro. Noes: None. These terms will expire on December 31, 2010.

<br /> On motion by Mr. Norris, seconded by Ms. Hamilton, Ms. Barbara Bell was
<br />appointed as the City government representative and Ms. Janyce Lewis was appointed as
<br />the citizen representative to a three-year term on the Regional Disability Services Board.
<br />A term does not apply to Ms. Bell’s seat. The Term for Ms. Lewis will expire on June
<br />30, 2010.

<br /> On motion by Mr. Norris, seconded by Ms. Hamilton, Ms. Rachel Thielmann was
<br />appointed to an unexpired term on the Social Services Advisory Board by the following
<br />vote. Ayes: Dr. Brown, Ms. Hamilton, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Norris, Mr. Taliaferro. Noes:
<br />None. This term will expire on June 30, 2009.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Norris announced that Council will be conducting public interviews for the
<br />candidates for the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
<br />
<br /> Ms. Hamilton noted that some of the appointments were given to participants in
<br />the City’s Neighborhood Leadership Institute, the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership
<br />Charlottesville program, and PHAR.
