9 <br /> <br /> Dr. Brown restated his motion to approve the resolution, with the addition of the <br />$25,000 for site work for the Eco Mod house, and the allocation of $150,000 for Virginia <br />Supportive Housing contingent on 1) the commitment of regional HOME funds; 2) eight <br />to fifteen Section rental vouchers from Albemarle County; and 3) Section 8 rental <br />vouchers from Region Ten for the project. <br /> <br /> Mr. Taliaferro seconded the motion and it was approved by the following vote. <br />Ayes: Dr. Brown, Ms. Edwards, Mr. Huja, Mr. Norris, Mr. Taliaferro. Noes: None. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED <br /> by the City Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $514,143 is hereby allocated from currently <br />appropriated funds in the Charlottesville Housing Fund (P-00439) account in the capital <br />projects fund: <br /> <br /> Virginia Supportive Housing (SRO) $150,000 <br /> Region Ten (Rent Subsidy-Counseling) 100,000 <br /> Charlottesville Community Foundation/PHA (Downpayment) 50,000 <br /> AHIP Emergency Repair 50,000 <br /> Region Ten FY’08 Shortage 2,143 <br /> Small Rehab/Handicap Access 85,000 <br /> Housing Position 20,000 <br /> Eco Mod 4 Utilities 10,000 <br /> HAC Meeting Expense 2,000 <br /> Eco Mod Site Work 25,000 <br /> HOME Match 20,000 <br /> $514,143 <br /> <br />The allocation of the $150,000 for Virginia Supportive Housing (SRO) is contingent on <br />1) the commitment of regional HOME funds; 2) eight to fifteen Section 8 rental vouchers <br />from Albemarle County; and 3) Section 8 rental vouchers from Region Ten Community <br />Services Board for the project. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />: ALLOCATION OF FY 2010 CHARLOTTESVILLE HOUSING <br />FUNDS <br /> <br /> Mr. Tolbert explained that the resolution formalizes the transfer of funds to AHIP <br />as previously agreed to by Council, allocates $100,000 for the housing position, and <br />allocates $225,000 for the Virginia Supportive Housing project. <br /> <br /> Dr. Brown made a motion to approve the resolution, with the same contingency <br />clause about the SRO funding as was added to the 2009 housing fund resolution. <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja seconded the motion and it was approved by the following vote. Ayes: <br />Dr. Brown, Ms. Edwards, Mr. Huja, Mr. Norris, Mr. Taliaferro. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED <br /> that the City Council of the City of Charlottesville does <br />hereby resolve to allocate Charlottesville Housing Fund Dollars, Account P-00439 as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AHIP (Housing Rehab) $100,000 <br />Housing Leader Position 100,000 <br />Virginia Supportive Housing (SRO) 225,000 <br /> $425,000 <br /> <br />The allocation of the $225,000 for Virginia Supportive Housing (SRO) is contingent on <br />1) the commitment of regional HOME funds; 2) eight to fifteen Section 8 rental vouchers <br />from Albemarle County; and 3) Section 8 rental vouchers from Region Ten Community <br />Services Board for the project. <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja said we have done a lot in the housing area, and he hopes we will have <br />added to our affordable housing stock in the future with the new position. <br /> <br />
