On first reading the
City Attorney saw issues that needed clarification and the ordinance was revised accordingly.
The revised ordinance states that (1) the parking exempt zones are limited to developments
requiring a special use permit; (2) that affordable housing units are exempt from the
requirements; and (3) the option for developer to make a monetary contribution, in an amount set
by Council, is available. The revised ordinance also provides a more clear definition of Bicycle
Storage Facilities.
Dr. Brown moved to amend the ordinance, and Mr. Huja seconded the motion. The
motion was approved. The ordinance, as amended, was approved by the following vote: Ayes:
Dr. Brown, Ms. Edwards, Mr. Taliaferro, Mr. Huja. Noes: None. Absent: Mr. Norris.
OTHER BUSINESS

Mr. Taliaferro asked if there was any other business, and there was no response.
The meeting was adjourned.
_____________________________ _____________________________
President Clerk
