Absent: Rev. Edwards. <br /> <br /> At the request of Ms. Slaughter, Ms. Linda Seaman, School <br />Board Chair, reviewed previous discussions and actions on <br />the suggested enhancement study topics and reviewed the list <br />of needs for the 94-95 school budget. <br /> <br /> Responding to a question from Ms. Seaman, Mr. Hendrix <br />stated that no reductions in the school budget are <br />anticipated. <br /> <br /> Responding to a question from Mr. Toscano, Dr. Joseph <br />McGeehan, Superintendent of Schools, stated that information <br />on the State's share of revenue for the 94-95 school year <br />should be available in either November or December, but added <br />that those figures are tentative until the General Assembly <br />meets to act on the state budget. <br /> <br /> The questions submitted to the School Board by the <br />Council were discussed, with some School Board members <br />questioning the importance of per pupil cost ratios because of <br />differences in school divisions. <br /> <br /> Ms. Seaman stated that the school system's 1992-93 audit <br />cannot be completed until the issue of the school's fund <br />balance is resolved, noting that there is a difference of <br />opinion between the School Board and Council regarding the <br />matter° Ms. Seaman asked the Council to review the tape of <br />the meeting where the issue was discussed and Councilors <br />agreed to do so, though Mr. Vandever added that Council had <br />reaffirmed its decision on several occasions. <br /> <br /> Th~~ed. <br />President C~ <br /> <br /> <br />
