113 <br /> <br />NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON Monday, <br />April 6, 1992 AT 6:45 p.m. IN THE City Manager's Office. <br /> <br />THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Executive session to discuss personnel matters as <br />exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the Virginia <br />Freedom of Information Act (Housing Authority <br />interviews) <br /> <br />BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR <br /> <br />BY Jeanne Cox (signed) <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE - April 6, 1992 <br /> <br /> Council met in special session on this date with the <br />following members present: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. <br />Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Waters, seconded by Ms. Slaughter, <br />Council unanimously voted to meet in executive'session to <br />discuss personnel matters as exempted by Section 2.1-344(a) <br />(1) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, more <br />specifically described as appointments to the Charlottesville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority. <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHk~BER - April 6, 1992 <br /> <br /> Council reconv.ened in regular session on this date with <br />the following members present: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, <br />Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Waters, seconded by Ms. Slaughter, <br />Council unanimously certified that, to the best of each <br />member's knowledge, (i) only public business matters lawfully <br />exempted from open meeting requirements by Virginia law were <br />discussed in the executive meeting to which this <br />certification resolution applies, and (ii) only such public <br />business matters as were identified in the motion convening <br />the executive meeting were heard, discussed or considered by <br />the Council. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms. Waters, the <br />minutes of the March llth meeting were unanimously approved <br />as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Slaughter, seconded by Ms. Waters, the <br />minutes of the March 12th meeting were unanimously approved <br />as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms. Waters, the <br />minutes of the March 13th meeting were unanimously approved <br />as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Slaughter, seconded by Ms. Waters, the <br />minutes of the March !6th meeting were unanimously approved <br />as corrected. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. Andrew Serpe, Chairman of the University of Virginia <br />Community Concerns Committee requested that the Council adopt <br />a resolution supporting Sharing Charlottesville. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms. Slaughter, <br />the resolution supporting Sharing Charlottesville was <br />unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> Mr. Rudy Beverly, spokesperson for the Corner Merchants <br />Association, expressed concern about safety in the Corner <br /> <br /> <br />
