113 NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON Monday, April 6, 1992 AT 6:45 p.m. IN THE City Manager's Office. THE PROPOSED AGENDA IS AS FOLLOWS: Executive session to discuss personnel matters as exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (Housing Authority interviews) BY ORDER OF THE MAYOR BY Jeanne Cox (signed) CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE - April 6, 1992 Council met in special session on this date with the following members present: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. On motion by Ms. Waters, seconded by Ms. Slaughter, Council unanimously voted to meet in executive'session to discuss personnel matters as exempted by Section 2.1-344(a) (1) of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, more specifically described as appointments to the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority. COUNCIL CHk~BER - April 6, 1992 Council reconv.ened in regular session on this date with the following members present: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. On motion by Ms. Waters, seconded by Ms. Slaughter, Council unanimously certified that, to the best of each member's knowledge, (i) only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by Virginia law were discussed in the executive meeting to which this certification resolution applies, and (ii) only such public business matters as were identified in the motion convening the executive meeting were heard, discussed or considered by the Council. MINUTES On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms. Waters, the minutes of the March llth meeting were unanimously approved as presented. On motion by Ms. Slaughter, seconded by Ms. Waters, the minutes of the March 12th meeting were unanimously approved as presented. On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms. Waters, the minutes of the March 13th meeting were unanimously approved as presented. On motion by Ms. Slaughter, seconded by Ms. Waters, the minutes of the March !6th meeting were unanimously approved as corrected. PUBLIC Mr. Andrew Serpe, Chairman of the University of Virginia Community Concerns Committee requested that the Council adopt a resolution supporting Sharing Charlottesville. On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms. Slaughter, the resolution supporting Sharing Charlottesville was unanimously approved by Council. Mr. Rudy Beverly, spokesperson for the Corner Merchants Association, expressed concern about safety in the Corner
