8 <br /> <br />Code, and in the process is expected to finish "using up" <br />current inventory of forms and letterhead stationery and <br />other documents which contain the Department's current name; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Department of <br />Personnel is authorized to use either the name of Department <br />of Personnel or Department of Human Resources during the <br />aforesaid interim period and the names are to be treated for <br />all purposes as being synonymous - each identifying what is <br />currently known as the Department of Personnel. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />AUTHORITY <br /> <br />RECERTIFYING COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH HOUSING <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix explained that in order for the Housing <br />Authority to submit an application for public housing~ HUD <br />requires that the cooperation agreement with the City be <br />re-endorsed as part of the process. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Ms. Waters, the <br />resolution recertifying the cooperation agreement with the <br />Housing Authority was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville and the <br />Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority entered <br />into a Cooperation Agreement date May 14, 1958; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cooperation Agreement has been duly amended <br />by the parties thereto by properly executed instruments dated <br />March 2, 1959, July 13, 1965, November 17, 1969 and September <br />4, 1985; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development has issued.a notice seeking applications <br />for the development of additional public housing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, any application of the Charlottsville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority for such additional <br />housing must contain a resolution from the governing body of <br />the locality certifying the Cooperation Agreement; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the Cooperation Agreement, as <br />amended, between the City of Charlottesville and the <br />Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority is hereby <br />certified as being in full force and effect and that said <br />Agreement meets the requirements for local cooperation <br />agreements as set forth in 24 C.F.R. section 941.201(c). <br /> <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia this 16th day of July, 1990. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: GRANTING DEED OF EASEMENT FOR ENCROACHMENT ON WALKER <br />STREET (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE <br />CONVEYANCE OF AN EASEMENT WITHIN THE WALKER STREET RIGHT-OF- <br />WAY," which was offered at the July 2nd meeting, was approved <br />by the following vote. Ayes: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, <br />Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters.
