¸91 <br /> <br />(VDOT) is prepared to take over maintenance of the roadways <br />known as Mill Creek Drive, Quai~ Crossing, Grist Mill Drive, <br />Spring Mountain Road, Bryan Court, and Hunter's Way, all <br />located within the County of Albemarle;and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City owns natural gas lines located within <br />the above-referenced roadways, and VDOT wishes to assume <br />responsibility for the maintenance and repair of sUch natural <br />gas lines along with its acceptance of the roadways; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the Mayor is hereby authorized <br />to execute a deed of quitclaim, in form approved by the City <br />Attorney, for the transfer of certain~natural gas line <br />facilities to the Virginia Department of Transportation. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: EXPANDING LOCATIONS FOR SIDEWALK CAFES (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND <br />REORDAIN SECTION 28.1 OF CHAPTER 25 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE NUMBER <br />OF SIDEWALK CAFES PER BLOCK," which was offered at the <br />November 5th meeting, was approved by the following vote. <br />Ayes: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. <br />Vandever, Ms. Waters. Noes: None. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: ADOPTING 1990 CITY,CODE (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND <br />ENACTING A NEW CODE FOR THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE; <br />PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES NOT INCLUDED <br />THEREIN; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; <br />PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER OF AMENDING SUCH CODE; AND PROVIDING <br />WHEN SUCH CODE AND THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE," <br />which was offered at the November 5th meeting, was approved <br />by the following vote. Ayes: Rev. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, <br />Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. Noes: None. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: CONVEYING PROPERTY UNDER BELMONT BRIDGE TO <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix explained that the ordinance would convey <br />property under the Belmont Bridge to the Industrial <br />Development Authority as.previously approved in the plan for <br />the CSX property. <br /> <br /> On mOtion by Ms. waters, seconded bylMr? Vandever, the <br />ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO QUITCLAIM CERTAIN <br />PROPERTY LOCATED UNDER THE BELMONT BRIDGE TO THE <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY" was offered <br />and carried over to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: RETURNING VOTING pLACE TO DOWNTOWN RECREATION CENTER <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix explained that the ordinance would return <br />the voting place to the Downtown Recreation Center which was <br />temporarily relocated due to the construction of the City <br />Hall Annex. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Waters, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the <br />ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />SECTION 9-27 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br />1990, AS AMENDED, TO RETURN THE RECREATION CENTER PRECINCT TO <br />THE DOWNTOWN RECREATION CENTER" was offered and carried over <br />to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br />There were no matters by the public. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />
