Edwards. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: LOCATION OF VENDORS DURING SPECIAL EVENTS (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND <br />REORDAINING SECTION 25-45.1 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, TO PROHIBIT VENDOR STANDS <br />WITHIN AREAS DESIGNATED FOR SPECIAL COMMUNITY EVENTS," which <br />was offered at the April 17th meeting, was approved by the <br />following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Mr. Towe, Mr.-Vandever, Ms. <br />Waters. Noes: None. Absent: Rev. Edwards. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: TRANSPORTING OF NATURAL GAS <br /> <br /> Mr. Gouldman stated that the ordinance would reduce the <br />rate for transporting gas by 4% and would limit <br />transportation to only those customers who are interruptible, <br />excePt to those grandfathered. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Towe, seconded by Mr. ~Vandever, the <br />ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />SECTIONS 12-1, 12-3, 12-4, 12-5, 12-6, 12-6.1 AND 12-7 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, <br />RELATING TO GAS TRANSPORTATION SERVICE" was offered and <br />carried over to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: <br /> <br />PLACEMENT OF TRAFFIC SIGNS AND SIGNALS <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the ordinance would clarify that <br />the Traffic Engineer is authorized to have traffic signs <br />installed if he deems necessary. · <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Towe, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the <br />ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ~AND REORDAIN <br />SECTION 16-3 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br />1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS" was <br />offered and carried over to the next meeting for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br />There were no matters by the public. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that City staff have met with Region <br />Ten Community Services staff in order to clarify Region Ten's <br />financial situation prior to recommending additional funding <br />as requested during the budget process. <br /> <br /> <br />
