88 <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck Stated that he would not favor adding any <br />streets to the restricted list without criteria with which to <br />justify the decision. Mr. Buck recommended adopting the <br />present ordinance and studying the additional streets prior <br />to including them on the ordinance. <br /> <br /> Mr. Presley Thatch of Security van Lines, stated that he <br />would be concerned with reducing the size of the trucks <br />restricted to those having more than four wheels, especially <br />if Council added additional streets in the future. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck made a motion to amend the ordinance to. allow <br />northbound, truck traffic on Rio Road for those trucks making <br />deliveries north up to Rio Road's intersection with <br />Greenbrier Drive. Rev. Edwards seconded the motion and it <br />was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND <br />REORDAIN ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 16 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING SECTION 16-9.1, <br />RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF TRUCK TRAFFIC WITHIN.THE CITY <br />LIMITS," which was offered at the July 17th meeting, was <br />approved by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Buck, Rev. <br />Edwards~ Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters, Noes:~ None. FROM R-3 TO B-1 <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja stated that the Planning Commissions <br />recommended approval of the rezoning for the following <br />reasons: 1) It is in harmony with the Comprehensive Plan and <br />Land Use Plan; and 2) It would not have a significant adverse <br />impact on the surrounding neighborhood. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck raised a question about the boundary line <br />recommended for future business zoning in the Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja stated that action would need to be taken on <br />amending the Comprehensive Plan in order to change the <br />boundary line. <br /> <br /> <br />
