Ms. Slaughter <br />recommended talking to the Charlottesville High School "City <br />Council" and including any facilities which might be <br />available.-, <br /> <br /> Mr. Toscan0 stated that the Task Force on Economic <br />ConverSion was holding a Public meeting on June 10th and <br />recommended that someone from staff attend to present staff's <br />position on the matter. <br /> <br /> Ms. Slaughter recommended discussing the matter in the <br />context of the proposed economic development commission. <br /> <br /> Ms. Slaughter asked whether the Barringer House was on <br />the list of historic properties to be considered by the <br />Planning Commission August. <br /> <br /> Mr. Huja stated that the Barringer House is not <br />currently on the list to be considered, but will be <br />considered in the next cycle and the criteria adopted in the <br />zoning ordinance will be used. Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. <br />Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Waters, seconded by Ms. Slaughter, <br />Council voted to meet in executive session to discuss <br />personnel matters as exempted by Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the <br />Virginia Freedom of Information Act, more specifically <br />described as appointments to boards and commission and to <br />conduct interviews for the School Board~with Mr. Toscano and <br />Mr. Vandever absent for the vote. <br /> <br /> Council reconvened in open session and, on motion by Ms. <br />Slaughter, seconded by Mr. Toscano, unanimously certified <br />that, to the best of each member's knowledge, (i) only public <br />business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br />requirements by Virginia law were discussed in the executive <br />meeting to which this certification resolution applies, and <br />(ii) onlY such public -business matters as were identified in <br />the motion convening the executive meeting were heard, <br />discussed or considered by the Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
