Ms. <br />Frierson stated that a fee system for use of the Historical <br />Collection and research is being considered. Mr. Albricht stated that after installing the <br />booster system, the Charlottesville area will be able to <br />receive WVPT without cable. Mr. Albricht stated that WVPT <br />has a strong emphasis on children's and local programming. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mark Krebs and Ms. Emily Couric, WVPT Board <br />members, supported WVPT's request for additional funding. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ed Menaker, President of the Northwestern Health <br />Systems Agency, explained that the State has increased <br />funding for the Agency up to $0.09 per capita, with no <br />requirement for matching funding. Mr. Menaker stated that <br />$0.06 per capita in additional funding is being requested of <br />the City. <br /> <br /> Mr. Peter McIntosh, Director of the Charlottesville- <br />Albemarle Legal Aid Society (CALAS), stated that the funding <br />concept has been changed in an attempt to increase funding <br />in rural localities. Mr. McIntosh stated that the <br />additional funding requested of the City would fund 60% of <br />one attorney. <br /> <br /> Mr. Barry Jones, a CALAS Board member, stated that <br />Albemarle County has agreed to providing funding requested <br />in the new concept. <br /> <br /> <br />
