A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE'S FY 1982-83 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT $655,000.00 WHEREAS, the City has been advised of the approval by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development of a FY 1982-83 Community Development Block Grant in the total amount of $655,000; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received recommendations for the expenditure of such funds from the East Market Street CDBG Task Force, the City Planning Commission, and the Social Develop- ment Commission; and has conducted a public hearing thereon as provided by law; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the City Council of Charlottesville, Virginia, that sums hereinafter set forth are hereby appropriated from funds received from the aforesaid grant to the following individual expenditure accounts in the FY 1982-83 Community Development Block Grant Fund for the respective purposes set forth; provided, how- ever, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to transfer funds between and among such individual accounts as circumstances may require, to the extent permitted by applicable federal grant regulations. • Account Code Purpose Amount 23-72040 East Market Street public facilities improvements $33,600.00 23-72090 Shelter for Help in Emergency rehabilitation 9,400.00 23-72020 Subgrant to Region 10 Energy Conservation Board for City- wide weatherization program 30,000.00 23-42010 Subgrant to American Red Cross for home care services 15,000.00 23-42020 Subgrant to Monticello Area Community Action Agency for housing counselling 13,600.00 23-42030 Subgrant to Workshop V for vocational services 12,500.00 23-42040 Subgrant to the United Way, Inc. for administration of child care scholarship program 6,400.00 23-42050 Subgrant to Region 10 Community Services Board for development and operation of a home for homeless alcoholics; provided that City Council shall approve the location of such home before . such funds are expended 10,000.00
