2. <br />0 <br />Account Code Purpose Amount <br />23-42060 Subgrant to Charlottesville - <br />Albemarle Association for <br />Retarded Citizens for infant <br />development project $ 81000.00 <br />23-19010 CDBG program administration 47,500.00 <br />The amounts so appropriated as subgrants to other public <br />agencies and private, non-profit, charitable organizations shall be <br />considered as donations for the sole purposes stated. The City <br />Manager is authorized to enter into agreements with those agencies <br />and organizations as he may deem advisable to ensure that the <br />subgrants are expended for the intended purposes, and in accordance <br />with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following sums are hereby <br />appropriated from funds received from the aforesaid grant as a sub - <br />grant to the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority: <br />(a) $168,000.00 for rehabilitation and redevelopment <br />activities in the East Market Street area. <br />(b) $301,000.00 for rehabilitation and redevelopment <br />activities in other areas of the city. <br />Specific programs for the expenditure of such funds shall be <br />approved by the Board of the Charlottesville Redevelopment and <br />Housing Authority. The City Manager, the directors of Finance and <br />Community Development and the staff of the Authority are authorized <br />and directed to establish appropriate expenditure sub -accounts in <br />the Community Development Block Grant Fund to assist the City and <br />the Authority in accounting for such programs, and to establish <br />administrative procedures and provide for mutual assistance in the <br />execution of the programs as approved by this Council and the Board <br />of the Authority. Any portion of such sums to be expended by the <br />Authority which are later released or returned to the Authority <br />upon completion of the programs for which they were first allocated <br />shall be reallocated to other low-income housing programs. <br />Atteste: <br />Clerk of Council <br />it <br />Adopted by Council <br />July 6, 1982 <br />
