• <br />• <br />• <br />APPROPRIATION <br />Proceeds from Seizure of Assets <br />$42,017.10 <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of Charlottesville <br />has received checks totalling $42,017.10 representing money <br />lawfully seized by the City Police Department from persons <br />subsequently convicted of drug related crimes; and <br />WHEREAS, said funds have been deposited with the Treasurer of <br />the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the federal policies authorize the City Police <br />Department to receive and spend such proceeds provided the <br />expenditure is on drug related law enforcement matters; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that such $42,017.10 shall be appropriated to police <br />investigation expenditure account 05- 270 - 041110 - 55104. <br />Approved by Council <br />December 18, 1989 <br />89 -4 -48 <br />V <br />i <br />r of City Coun <br />1 <br />
