• AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT is entered into in triplicate this day of , 2000, by <br />and between the County of Albemarle, Virginia, a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of <br />Virginia (hereinafter, the "County"), the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, a Virginia municipal <br />corporation (hereinafter, the "City"), and the Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia <br />(hereinafter, the "University"), also referred to herein as the "party" or "parties." <br />WITNESS <br />WHEREAS, the County is the fiscal agent for the Charlottesville/University of <br />Virginia/Albemarle County Emergency Communications Center (hereinafter, the <br />"Communications Center"), created pursuant to ajoint services agreement dated January 20, <br />1984; <br />• WHEREAS, as fiscal agent, the County will be entering into license and maintenance <br />agreements related to computer hardware and software with Printrak International, Inc. <br />(hereinafter, the "Printrak agreements") on behalf of the County, the City and the University in <br />order to establish a computer-aided dispatch (hereinafter, "CAD") system; <br />WHEREAS, it is estimated that the one-time costs associated with the CAD system <br />(consisting of the Printrak agreements and other related costs) will be one million eight hundred <br />ninety four thousand two hundred fifty-five dollars ($1,894,255); and <br />WHEREAS, it is desirable that each party to this agreement expressly authorize the <br />County to enter into the Printrak agreements as the fiscal agent for the Communications Center <br />and to administer those agreements, and assure that funding for the CAD system will be <br />available. <br />0 <br />
