<br />31-164, 31-168, 31-179, 31-197, 31-205, 31-258, AND 31-267
<br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976,
<br />AND THAT SUCH CODE BE FURTHER AMENDED BY ADDING
<br />§§31-192.1 AND 31-261.1 AS FOLLOWS
<br />RELATING TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
<br />CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE; TO DEFINITIONS THEREUNDER,
<br />TO THE USES PERMITTED UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES IN
<br />R-1, R-3, B-1, B-2, B-3, AND M-1 DISTRICTS;
<br />TO EXCEPTIONS AND MODIFICATIONS UNDER SUCH ZONING REQUIREMENTS;
<br />TO STANDARDS PERTAINING TO SIGNS; AND TO SITE PLAN REVIEW
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that
<br />§§31-3, 31-13, 31-14, 31-27, 31-28, 31-79, 31-86, 31-93, 31-95, 31-109,
<br />31-150, 31-151, 31-154, 31-156, 31-159, 31-161, 31-162, 31-164, 31-168,
<br />31-179, 31-197, 31-205, 31-258, and 31-267 of the Code of the City of
<br />Charlottesville, 1976, be amended and reordained and that such code be
<br />further amended by adding §§31-192.1 and 31-261.1, as follows:
<br />Section 31-3. Generally.
<br />For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms or words shall
<br />have the meanings ascribed to them by this section:
<br />Building. A structure enclosed within exterior walls and a roof, built,
<br />erected and framed of component structural parts, designed for the housing,
<br />shelter, enclosure and support of individuals, animals or property of any
<br />kind.
<br />Drive-in restaurant. A food service establishment where the food is
<br />primarily served over the counter in disposable containers designed to be
<br />carried out.
