For the <br />•purpose of this article, such adjacent areas of land may be leased from <br />another owner if such lease agreement is approved by the Director of <br />Planning. <br />Section 31-151. Area exempt from requirements of article. <br />The following area shall be exempt from the requirements of this article <br />except as hereinafter provided: <br />All of that area bounded by lines beginning at the underpass on West <br />Main Street where the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway crosses Main Street; thence <br />in an easterly direction along the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway to its inter- <br />section with Ridge Street; thence along Ridge Street to Garrett Street in a <br />southerly direction; thence along Garrett Street in an easterly direction to <br />its intersection with Sixth Street; thence along Levy Avenue in an easterly <br />direction to its intersection with Avon Street; thence along Avon Street in <br />a northerly direction across the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway overpass to <br />£est-Market-Street;-thanes-slang-£ast-Market-Street-la-a-westerly-direst#en <br />te-Seventh-Street;-tkeaee-slang-Seventk-Street-ia-a-nertkerlp-direetien- <br />and along Ninth Street, N.E. in a northerly direction to a point one <br />hundred fifty feet north of the northern margin of High Street; thence along <br />a line in a westerly direction parallel to High Street and running at a <br />distance of one hundred fifty feet from the northern margin of High Street <br />• to Altamont Street; thence along Altamont Street in a southerly direction <br />to its intersection with High Street; thence along high Street down Beck's <br />Hill in a southerly direction to its intersection with Preston Avenue; <br />thence along Preston Avenue in a southerly direction to a point 225' north <br />of West Main Street's northern right of way; thence in a southwesterly <br />direction to the intersection of Commerce Street and Fourth Street, <br />Northwest; thence along Commerce Street in a westerly direction to its <br />intersection with Sixth Street; thence in a westerly direction along a line <br />parallel to Main Street and running at a distance of two hundred ten feet <br />from Main Street to the intersection of that line with Thirteenth Street, <br />Northwest; thence in a northerly direction along Thirteenth Street to <br />Wertland Street; thence along Wertland Street in a westerly direction to <br />its intersection with Fourteenth and Fifteenth Streets; thence along <br />Fifteenth Street in a westerly direction to a point nearest the right of <br />way of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway; thence along the shortest line to <br />the right of way of the Chesapeake ans Ohio Railway; thence in a north- <br />easterly direction along the Chesapeake and Ohio right of way to the point <br />nearest the northerly end of Elliewood Avenue; thence in the shortest line <br />to the northerly end of Elliewood Avenue; thence in a southerly <br />direction along the present western boundary of lots fronting on Elliewood <br />Avenue to its intersection with West Main Street; thence in an easterly <br />direction along West Main Street to the point of beginning. <br />• <br />
