• AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />SECTIONS 5-24 AND 5-25 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, <br />BY REQUIRING PERMITS TO BE OBTAINED FOR <br />SEWER WORK AND REQUIRNG PERMIT FEES TO BE <br />CHARGED FOR SEWER WORK. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />§§5-24 and 5-25 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended, <br />be amended and reordained as follows: <br />Section 5-24. Plumbing and sewer work permits —To be <br />granted only to master plumbers; who may <br />do plumbing and sewer work. <br />Plumbing, drainage, and sewer work permits shall be issued only to <br />a duly registered master plumber or to an authorized employee of a business <br />employing such a master plumber. All permits shall be signed by a master <br />plumber or on his behalf by an authorized employee. It shall be the <br />responsibility of each person to keep on file with the plumbing inspector a <br />• list of employees authorized to sign the master plumber's name for issuance <br />of a permit, and the plumbing inspector, so long as such employee's name <br />is listed, may issue a permit to such employee and hold the master plumber <br />liable for compliance to the Statewide Building Code and this chapter for the <br />job for which the permit was issued. <br />Section 5-25. Same — Permit fees. <br />Fees for plumbing and sewer work permits issued pursuant to the <br />Statewide Building Code and this chapter shall be as follows: <br />A fee of five dollars for the basic permit plus two dollars for each <br />fixture trap and five dollars for each sewer connection from the building <br />plumbing system to the public sewer system. <br />Copy Teste: <br />• <br />Adopted by the Council <br />December 19, 1977 <br />
