Pg. 5 <br />(f) Any waters or wastes having a stabilized pH lower than 6.0 or <br />higher than 9.0 or having properties capable of either causing damage to <br />structures and equipment of the sanitary sewer system or sewage treatment <br />• plants or creating a hazard to personnel engaged in operation and <br />maintenance of such facilities. <br />(g) Any waters or wastes having objectionable color which is not <br />removable by the existing waste treatment plant processes. <br />(h) Any waters or wastes containing contaminants of such character or <br />in such quantity as will not be amenable to the waste treatment processes, <br />or will injure or interfere with the waste treatment processes, or will <br />constitute a hazard to humans or animals, or will create a hazard in the <br />stream or watercourse receiving the effluent from the waste treatment <br />plant. <br />(i) Any noxious or malodorous gas, or any substance which, when <br />introduced into a reducing environment, could cause the evolution of a <br />noxious or malodorous gas. <br />(j) Any storm water, surface water, groundwater, roof run-off, <br />subsurface drainage, uncontaminated cooling water, or unpolluted industrial <br />process waters. <br />(k) Any radioactive isotope in concentration greater than that <br />• permitted by applicable federal regulations. <br />(1) Any ceramic glazing waste in excess of concentrations _present <br />in normal domestic sewage. <br />(m) Any lime, calicum sulphate or other similar sludges in excess of <br />concentrations present in normal domestic sewage. <br />(n) Any other waters or wastes containing suspended solids of such <br />character or quantity that unusual attention or expense would be required <br />in the handling of such waste materials at the waste treatment plant. <br />SECTION 24-15. Conditions on discharge of certain types of wastes. <br />No person shall discharge any of the following types of wastes into <br />the sanitary sewer system without having fulfilled the conditions herein- <br />after stated in each instance: <br />(a) Packinghouse waste: All hair, bristles, hides or parts of hides, <br />bones, animal parts, paunch manure, and viscera, stock feeds, grit, sand, <br />and straw in excess of concentrations present in normal domestic sewage, <br />and all grease in excess of 100 parts per million shall be removed prior to <br />discharge. <br />• <br />
