0 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REENACT <br />SECTION 15-109 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976 <br />ENTITLED "THEATRICAL PERFORMANCES". <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />§15-109 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, be amended and <br />reenacted to read as follows: <br />SECTION 15-109. Theatrical performances. <br />On every theatrical performance or any performance similar thereto, <br />panorama or any public performance or exhibition of any kind, there shall be <br />paid five dollars for each performance or twenty-five dollars per week of a <br />continuous performance, if the public performance or exhibition is given in <br />a permanent building, and twenty-five dollars for each day and fifty dollars <br />for each week of a continuous performance if the public performance or <br />exhibition is given out-of-doors or in a tent or other temporary structure; <br />provided, that this section shall not be construed to apply to performances <br />• or exhibitions for charitable, educational or benevolent purposes, provided <br />further, that this section shall not be construed to apply to performances or <br />exhibitions for which no admission is charged or at which the total amount of <br />any freewill offering that is accepted at such performances or exhibitions is <br />used solely for charitable, educational, or benevolent purposes, and-wW-r-the- <br />futEher&f-oed-ertab-shows-13elri-irr ecrrrjtime tiotr-witit -the -t s <br />einerrla-attraction--Where -the -Vriee-G4-admisskmt4erthe-ertt4Fe­-peffernra*ce& <br />deer -not exeeed-f3€t eenEs.
