t r i U AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING CERTAIN STREETS AND AN ALLEY IN THE GARRETT STREET PROJECT AREA IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE WHEREAS, proper notice that the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority would make application to the City Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, to have the hereinafter described streets and alley closed, vacated and discontinued was duly posted; and WHEREAS, all the owners abutting said streets and alley have been duly notified; and WHEREAS, application was made to the City Council and pursuant to the statutes in such cases made and provided, the Council appoint- ed viewers who have reported that no inconvenience would result from such closures, vacations and discontinuances; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of • Charlottesville, Virginia, that the said streets and alley in the Garrett Street Project Area located in the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, described as follows are hereby closed, vacated and discontinued as public thoroughfares of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, said streets and alley not being needed for public use and travel: (1) That portion of South First Street running in a southerly direction from Garrett Street to its inter- section with Dice Street and bordering along Parcels 110, 130, 170, 182 and 218, Tax Map 28. (2) That portion of Parrott Street running in a southerly direction from Garrett Street to its inter- section with Dice Street and bordering along Parcels 130, 131, 133, 142, 150, 151 and 170, Tax Map 28. (3) That portion of Parrott Street running in a southerly direction from Dice Street to its intersection with Oak Street and bordering along Parcels 160, 184 and 190, Tax Map 28. • (4) That portion of Diggs Street running in an easterly direction from Ridge Street to its intersection with South First Street and bordering along Parcels 133, 130, 142, 146, 150 and 170, Tax Map 23.
